Well guys, I'm almost 54 yrs old and have neverhad a bad experience with any insurance company, ever. I have always paid my own way at the E.R. even if it took months of payments. At least half of the accusations I hear thrown at Ins co.s is just crap and I have never worked for one but I have researched the accusations. Try this out to your elected reps: Allow antitrust law to apply to Ins Co.s AND allow them to compete across state lines. Let the best products and prices win. You could limit them to a percentage of available clientle and wait for the market to decide. But anyone who places their trust/hope/money/health in the same group who destroyed social security, medicare, the Post Office, medicaid, (Can you name any gov't program that came in on time on nbudget and accomplished its' stated goals?)is merely repeating their mistake and believing in a different outcome. If the gov't runs health care under the guise of "fair competition while spending other people's money to do it they will fail and then they will do what politicians do, they will CHEAT with subsidies, more taxes, funny bookkeping, new rules etc. Get a grip, read history, believe the truth, be a man not a slave and take responsibility for yourself and if god puts the needy in YOUR path then act charitibly or not but don't take the coward's position of demanding other's do it for you and others pay for it instead of you. The power to tax is the power to enslave, only a fool would grant that power to a stranger. I'm just sayin..

Sadly, this is a very good comment:

"Unfortunately, as much as it pains me to admit it, the U.S. people want a nanny state. They want their every need and want satisfied and they want the federal government to do it. They want the government to tax the rich in order to give them luxuries that they can neither afford or care to work for.

The people spoke last November loud and clear and they knowingly or not, voted for a socialist nanny state to assume control over every aspect of their lives. The tyranny of the majority is alive an well and short of revolution, there is very little we can do about it. While our democratic process affords us with the opportunity to peacefully overthrow our government, it also allows for the slow decaying creep of socialism to entrench itself in the minds of those who are willing to give up liberty for comfort."

Russell: Sadly, your words ring true. Most of us never realized until recently what was actually going on in this country. We didn't realize the extent of anti-American feelings within the black community for example until we saw a popular "Reverend" spewing hate from the pulpit while being applauded. Our President listened to that for twenty years. We were caught off guard when we were shown the extent of corruption and the unholy alliances between government, union bosses and socialist radicals. We were too busy working our asses off trying to make a living and minding our own business to understand the extent of our predicament and the overall plan of the one we elected as President. The radical shift to the left of all our elected officials, their belief that government should be all powerful, and their willingness to sell out our country for their own benefit has been nothing short of breathtaking to most of us that have a sense of honor.
This is it, this is the time we have to take a stand. No hyperbole on that. We're going to lose our country to these career politicians, elistist, statists, socialist leaning people in power, and they're making sure we'll never be able to get it back. They've made their move and identified their window of opportunity to do it. They know they hoodwinked Americans into electing Obama and have recognized that any opposition can be neutralized by claiming racism or in the case of "anonymous" neutralize media outlets and citizens that are questioning what is going on. They're working overtime to make sure it happens within this time frame so we can't fight back or are able to realize what they're doing and how it will alter our future forever and they're using everything that has worked for them in the past to obtain it.. the race card, women's sufferage

Soldiers and police are trained to be on "hyperalert" and take "cues" from their surroundings in order to survive. The "cue" I've seen are women crying at town meetings, becoming more politically active, scared to death of what is to become of their country and the futures of their children. The women and more specifically the mothers are the red flags that we should watch. Polls, economic numbers, political and economic trends, MSM editorials, the musingsof Washington beltway thinkers, strategists, and those making a living from the current status quo should be irrelevent. The women, their mothers' senses are telling them something is terribly wrong, is threatening their children, their "mother's intuition" and their inate sense and instinct to protect their "cubs" and family has been alerted and we should not ignore it. In fact what we should do is exactly what we're doing. I'm not ashamed to admit that my entire "being" is molded, shaped, and dedicated to protecting women, mothers, their children, and what they want or need me to do to help them. I could care less what others may think of that.

David Hedrick, I have paid into the system for years and at my old age I'd like the system to take care of me. Just like your parents. I didn't pay into the system to create big government by employing you, to tell us that we have to pay $3500 a month to the private health insurance companies because you stated in your earlier videos that you've decided to run for the office. There is nothing in the constitution against my health and health care. I tell you dude, if you want smaller government, please resign, stop using handsome VA benefits that I pay for and don't even think of going on unemployment, social security or medicaid. Just resign from all. I saw the horrified look on the senior citizen's faces when you were talking, take your peanut gallery elsewhere.

Frankly, I thought the Oathkeepers are suppose to respect the rights of people, but you are giving us the same BS as Bush and Obama. Go get a job. Besides, why are suddenly the Oathkeepers running for the office when we have good men with better intentions than yours and years of experience. Oathkeepers are for the Military and law enforcement to avoid orders from corrupt politicians. You are screaming corruption with that health care lobby talk. Do you think everyone in this country is as ignorant as you are? If you are such a patriot, why didn't you ask the politician in Olympia Washington, what did he do for Washington's daughter "Rachel Corrie"? Yes the one that Israeli's bulldozed. The one that gave her life in the name of humanity. Did you ask the politician what did he do to bring justice to her murderers? Did you ask him why is he friendly to the same people that on June 8, 1967 attacked USS Liberty and killed 34 Americans and left 134 wounded? No, because you are serving the same lobbyist. You are serving Fox News and remember Fox is a foreign installment to derail Americans bey creating factions. A divided country is a weak and loosing nation. You are bad news.

George Nourse,

I agree with everything you say. I think my previous post to yours complements what you say. But I want to point out your statement "Little did they know that our politicians would literally tie everything to their power to control commerce."

The reason they were able to tie everything to their power was the People themselves were weak. As Jesus said, the spirit is stong but the flesh is weak. So too our weakness to truly stand up and fight for what is right. So many stand on the side lines and are unwilling to act. We will sit at home and complain to our spouse or around a beer with our friends, but there is no real effort by most to make a change for the better. And so it gets worse. A little bit worse with each generation. And as we all know, the integrity of our government is like eating and drinking. You do not eat or drink once and expect to live forever. Similarly, the integrity of our government will not stand if we do remain vigilant. Constent vigilance. Year after year. Generation after generation. Even the small changes should have been fought tooth and nail with real threats to the legislators - in particular the ONE single largest threat of corporate elite lobbies paying off congressmen. And the second one - placement of congress people in high paying positions in these corporations after their terms. Both are payoffs for doing the ill will of the corporate elite. We ALL know that money corrupts. Christianity taught us that we need each other to keep each other honest. Certainly, some could point out that that is not true of our churches (certainly not true of many in our government who claim to be Christian) but clearly this keeping each other honest IS still the truth of MOST of our churches. Most churches are still ethical and moral. Today, the culture of Congress is largely one of a black church of satan where this accountability is no longer upheld. Many even use Christianity as a cover for their evil deeds. But actions speak louder than words. Or put another way, you will know them by their works (rather than their words). One either serves God or money/greed (mammon) and clearly the majority of our Congress is composed of the later (on both sides of the aisle). It is this Christian integrity that needs to be restored... or alternatively the states succeeding from the Union and forming a more perfect one based on the original intent of the Constitution. Therein we will find our next revolution in this country.

If one reads the federalist papers you will find there was a great deal of discussion over giving the federal government the right to control commerce. They were afraid of giving the federal government too much power but in the end decided there was not much the federal government could do with the power to control commerce that would give them control over the various states. They decided giving them the power over commerce was non threatening and innocuous to the states. Little did they know that our politicians would literally tie everything to their power to control commerce. Thus ignoring the 10th amendment rendering it worthless.

The constitution is written in very simple language that even a fourth grade school kid can read and understand. It was not written for just judges and attorney's it was written for the people in language everyone could read and understand. Judges , lawyers and politicians are the ones who find a way to twist it's meaning and misquote the language. Ask yourself how could four people who are smart enough to be on the US supreme court claim that the second amendment does not give American citizens the right to keep and bear arms. The town idiot could read the 2nd amendment and understand that it gives the people the right to keep and bear arms..

This Hendrick person is poorly informed.

Our Fore Fathers gave us the Constitution. It also INTENTIONALLY gave us our GOVERNMENT. It was an integral part to work with the Constitution.

A sword can be used for good or evil. The government was meant to be a sword. Here there are proper thinking Congress people that the sword should be used to create a public health care option to give competition to the private health care industry - an industry of elites that most certainly has been screwing us all over.

Under proper leadership (proper leadership is the issue) government was meant as a tool to contain threats to the people... including our own corporations. This was seen in the early 1990's when we first put controls on corporations. In the last decade we have seen a corrupt congress removing those controls via "deregulation" that has only resulted in larger and few companies - all of which implies an oligarchy in each sector that removes all competition. And thus the decline of our economy and nation. It was well understood by Jefferson, Adams and others that big business begets corruption if left unattended.

With that said, the beast of health care is upon us. The corporate elite are at the heart of this beast. How do you propose we contain that beast? We all know we are being abused by the corporate execs who earn 25 million or more a year only to deny coverage to ourselves and our children when they are dying of cancer. If not a governement plan, how do you propose we address the problem?

You like to stir up dissent, but realize that such is unethical and immoral unless you have a viable alternative to present.

Hendrick, it is apparent you are clueless of the real issues we face in this country. A government plan to bring competition IS THE ONLY OPTION to address the real problem of corporate elitism. If not for our US Post Office, how much do you think you would be paying Federal Express or the other private carriers to deliver you packages and mail. I can assure you, it would be a whole lot more than you are paying now. Government systems can work. But it takes the people to keep their government working ethically. If you have a suggestion of an alternative solution to a public health care option, I would love to hear it. But if it puts the solution in the hands of private industry, it is no solution at all. It has to come from something OTHER than private industry. And the only real entity of power that can fill that role is the People through their GOVERNMENT. And if the government is not working right, we have to make it work right. After all, as I stated at the start, our fore fathers gave us our Constitution AND OUR GOVERNMENT. They were to be taken together. The issue is that EACH generation was to remain vigilant to assure our government did not become corrupt. We have some real fault and work to do there... but the truth is, the governement and a public health care option is the sword necessary to fight the combat against an entirely corrupt and unehtical private health care industry.

I love how Brian Baird, when David says, "You may remember me" just rolls his eyes. And then assumes parade rest. I giggled like a schoolgirl. LoL
