SPLC continues hate smear against Oath Keepers

We’ve talked before about Oath Keepers.

Here’s how they describe themselves:

Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving military, reserves, National Guard, veterans, Peace Officers, and Fire Fighters who will fulfill the Oath we swore, with the support of like minded citizens who take an Oath to stand with us, to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God. Our Oath is to the Constitution

Our motto is “Not on our watch!”

Well–that certainly sounds hateful! Can’t have people in America who believe in the Constitution, especially if we issue them guns! Which must be why the radical Southern Poverty Law Center called them “particularly worrisome” and lumped them in with hate groups.

Personally, we’re not being effective until the smear campaign against us is in full blossom !! The closer we get to winning the war with these people, the more vitriolic is their verbal assault and the more pre-occupied they become with name calling !! From the looks of things, we’ve only just begun to be effective !!

I agree with Allan. We have them taking notice !! The Patriot’s are fed up with the corruption, the waste of money, and the attempt to shove the Socialist
agenda into Our Country !! Just look at the ACORN THEVIES…..Nothing but a bunch of Rip-Off artists. Just like the Rainbow movement, Jessie and alleged Rev. Al Sharpton. Furthermore, Rev. Al was a FBI informant against Don King the boxing promoter, and BTW King was convicted of man slaughter.Rev. AL shook down the NYC construction industry for years. Not to mention his “Twana Brawley” BS story. BTW she is wanted on a Federal warrant. Living in the Wash. DC area under her new name “Muslin” name. Do you think the Fed’s will or would ever take action , and come after her I don’t think so. So I leave with great confidence of the Tea Part on 9/12 across our country. Just Maybe our people are waking Up !! Also cudo’s to Senator Wilson of SC. For Telling it like it is …..Semper Fi !!!!!!!!!!!

I am an oath keeper and a Paramedic. I hold a position of responsibility in the community. My job is to preserve life and give comfort. If I were to summarize the “10 Orders,” I pledge that I will not violate the civil rights of my fellow Americans. Now what does that make me according to the SPLC? I don’t get it.

We are under a microscope, I guess. We all need to be beyond reproach in our activities on line and in ever day life. I will continue to care about and respect my brother and sister Americans. I will do no harm. But I will honor the Constitution and protest against those who disregard it.

Well written response. Even if no-one on that site reads it, they are on notice of the truth. I have compassion on the truly ignorant, but nothing but disdain for those who are deliberately ignorant. Keep hitting them with the truth. Even the smallest light dispels the darkness, and we have plenty of lights.

As a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans and of League of the South, I’ve listened to the mindless hate speech and drivel of the SPLC for years. These people are empty suits fueled by emotion, and their speech is often missing logic and/or common sense, a characteristic they share with many of the current liberal elected officials and the liberal beaucracy in Washington, DC. They raise their funds by keeping the hate pot stirred. Pay them no mind because they are weak.

Oath of Enlistment

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Site Dedication

This site is dedicated to the memory of John William Adams (1925-2006), Marine and Oath Keeper extraordinaire.

John Adams, at the age of 16, lied about his age to join the Marines so he could fight against Imperial Japan in the Pacific. His enlistment date was December 10, 1941, just three days after the attack on Pearl Harbor (see below). As a Marine rifleman, he fought the Japanese from island to island, across the pacific, including at Iwo Jima. We may have good men, but we never had better.

Until his death in 2006, he was a dedicated patriot who still took his oath to defend the Republic deadly serious. May God grant you the courage to do likewise.

Founder Stewart Rhodes

He is a former firearms instructor and former member of Rep. Ron Paul’s DC staff.

Stewart previously wrote the monthly Enemy at the Gates column for S.W.A.T. Magazine

Stewart graduated from Yale Law School in 2004, where his paper “Solving the Puzzle of Enemy Combatant Status” won Yale’s Miller prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights. He assisted teaching U.S. military history at Yale, was a Yale Research Scholar, and is writing a book on the dangers of applying the laws of war to the American people.
