A Letter To The Elected From An Oath Keeper
I write this letter to all the founding fathers of this great country that we live in. I write this letter to every soldier that is serving our country in this war. I write this letter to every man that has a family as I do and is going through what I am right now in trying to keep a roof over their heads and food to eat. And I write this letter as a tax paying citizen of this great country. But mostly I write this letter to our elected officials in Washington D.C.
In 1986 I took a oath as a young Air Force soldier. After basic training and schooling I was stationed in Germany. I worked with the JA’s office handling dishonorable discharges and was also trained to work with the Security Police of the base. At that time I met people from all over the world and soldiers from different countries. But the best people I met were from my own country, The United States of America. I had the chance to become friends with soldiers that were from all parts of America. I would have never had this chance had it not been for the Military. We as a country I found out come in all shapes and sizes, all colors and races, and each one has a different reason for joining the military. But each one had one thing in common, they were proud Americans and joined to serve the country that they loved, THE USA.
Now I am sad that we have elected officials in Washington that have turned their heads away from the working class citizen. We are the back bone of this country, and fund your lively hood. You have chosen to turn your heads on the American Soldier, the soldiers that keep your ass safe and sound in your little office away from the real world. We have trusted you with our lives and our families lives and put you into office with our vote, and now some of you are turning your heads. I don’t think you care anymore, please prove me wrong.
Today I take this pledge for America to hear, and declare that here and now that myself, and my family and my country, the country that I have hired you to run, mean more to me than you my friend will ever know. We are not a toy for elected officials to play with and destroy. I keep hearing elected officials talk the talk, but I don’t see too many walking the walk right now. I like you took a oath, mine when I entered the military, yours when you took the job to represent me.
I ask you, do you still have it, the “it” being the desire to uphold your oath. The oath that you took to up hold the Constitution of the United States, the oath that you took to protect and serve the people of this great country. The law abiding American, the one’s that have served their country, have paid taxes, have gotten up each day and worked and not complained until now, do you still have “it”. I still do, I will go to my grave with it, you can take every dime I have, take my home, my job, but you will never take “it”. I’m your employer and this is what I look for from you, just as you looked for from me when I was in the military, the same thing that my family looks for from me each morning I get up and go to work. If you are no longer able to do what I and every voter hired you to do, then turn in your papers and leave. No hard feelings will be held.
We in the United States have fought against terrorist, the SS of Hitler, we fought against slavery and ended it. And we have made this country a better place. I am part owner of this country that we live in. My people have fought and died to keep this country free, we are the best of the best. We are the People of the United States that keep it going, the factory workers, the mailmen, the waitresses, the cashiers, the construction workers, the small business people, the cops, firemen, and the soldiers of the United States Military. We have more desire and will in one of our fingers than you do in your whole body. We are not a elected official to the people like you; we are the builders of this nation. And just as in 1986 when I took my oath, I do the same today, I re-take the same oath to protect this country. I am here for the people. We are a great nation of many people, we have been through a lot worse, than what we are going through now. I see American’s each day putting up more and more American Flags, we as a country are becoming more Patriotic than every before. I put a challenge out to you the elected official of every level in this country, my challenge is, come join us and re-take your oath and let’s not allow this country to be destroyed by just a handful of bad apples.
So please I beg you to open your eyes, and see what is going on, what you are creating. Read the oath that you took, read it to your kids and families, as we have
done. We are the people that in the past you have come to for help, the working serving people of this country. And now you turn your back on us. Every single one of you that turns their heads to the oath they took should be ashamed of what you are doing in Washington right now. The only group I am a member of is the Americans that get up each morning and work and pay taxes, and I’m a Oath Keeper to this country, a Oath Keeper that raised his right hand in 1986 to serve this country and serve you our elected officials in Washington.
The people of this country that look down on me and others like me, have never had a problem with us when we defended this country, nor when we got up each morning and work and pay taxes. But as each day goes by I am happy to say that they to are seeing the unjust happening in America. So as I pledge my oath today to uphold the Constitution of the United States, I challenge each and every elected official from a town mayor all the way up to President Obama to re-take the oath, show the people of this country that you are as I, a true American and stand for the Constitution of this Great Country. God Bless and Support the Troops, they are the real hero’s of this Country.
I would like to end my letter with something that really is getting on my nerves, I am not a RACIST, I am not a TERRORIST, and don’t like to be labeled that, I have friends of all color and back grounds, I served with people in the military and work with people each day of different races and back grounds. My family tree holds people that came from all part of the world when this country was started. So please don’t label me as one of the above, because you are just showing your stupidity.

Jeff thank you for your heart felt letter. It has to touch anyone who reads it. As an OK we all agree with what you has said.
It is time for all in DC to understand that they must not underestemate the American citizens. Some have not taken the oath but they will stand by it anyway.
I agree with you about being called an radical name. The one that we are is patriot. But being cinical I look at the names they call us as a promotion. That is because they are afraid of the real citizens of this country.
God bless America.

Thank you for the well written letter. I am sure that when you began to write it that it wasn’t difficult to put together. Why? Because it passionately came from the heart. You have hit the nail on the head with this and I am in one accord with you. It is an honor to stand with you my friend. For liberty!
God bless!

That was beautifully written. It is an honor to be in the company of people who are passionate about this country. Thank you also for what you said about your cultural heritage. I too come from MANY different races & ethnicities, more than that I am a Patriot.

Jeff,
I can also relate to your feelings of frustration and anger with our elected officials/employees.
The sacrifices we that have served and are serving are totally unknown to them.
Sacrifice for Congresswoman Pelosi is having to catch her Air Force Gulfstream for her five or six hour flight to the left coast. Or missing a dose of whatever medication she must be taking.
Shown countless times by her rambling rhetoric and the one finger salute she gave former President Bush as he flew over the inauguration ceremony. They all are living in an alternate universe where everything is just fine as long as they can spend every penny collected on earmarks that continue to line their pockets with special interest money.
Nor does Senator Reid understand what it is like to miss your children growing up because you’re deployed or TDY two to three weeks a month.
Nor do the rest of them understand what it’s like to not know if you will survive another day because your job is to literally defending and protecting the constitution with your life. Sure most of us volunteered for the reason you stated the love of our Country. Which until recently was the greatest Republic recorded in history. One day at a time they are chipping away at our values and morals and building debt our grandchildren’s grandchildren can’t pay.
Hang in there we will prevail. By lawfully protesting and fighting back through the electoral process. We possess something they don’t pride and integrity.
You’re Brother in Arms and fellow Oath Keeper,
