As a member of the Maryland Legislature I have taken my Oath to protect and defend the right to Life, Liberty and Property of Maryland’s Citizens under the authority of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and the Constitution ofthe state of Maryland.
I think of the Constitution as the Supreme Document! A fairer one has not been written.
In 1994, I was sworn into the Navy as an enlisted member, by my Uncle a Commander in the Navy at the time. That is when I swore my ‘Oath’ to “protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
I am pleased to see a large number of current and former law enforcement and
military personnel as members of Oath Keepers, and believe that every elected
official within our republic form of government should also become active members.
I WILL stand tall and proud amongst my Brothers and Sisters who have also decided to make the stand with me.
I have always admired the American military and my ancestors fought in the revolutionary war with the patriots. It was only natural I’d gravitate towards serving my nation as an Airman in the worlds greatest Air Force!
Anyone who has heard me speak at the Oath Keepers ceremony in Lexington or anywhere else in the country, know that I abhor violence and have never advocated or encouraged such tactics.
The SPLC has been mum on the issue, despite the fact that in 2000, it included the New Black Panther Party among its annual list of hate groups. In fact, what is most shocking is that the SPLC has spent far more resources hounding conservative organizations, such as the Center for Immigration Studies, and prominent citizens like CNN’s award-winning anchor Lou Dobbs…..
I have served for twenty three years as an LEO. I am approaching retirement in two months. I have always taken the Oath seriously and have tried to perform accordingly.
The oath keepers are the true American heroes fighting for what should be. I feel that the small groups like this and others speaking up can and will make a difference.
Those of us who have ever sworn that Oath are duty bound to answer the call and stand at the side of fellow Patriots in this greatest of causes. Our Liberty and that of future generations is now at stake.
January 14, 1975 I took my oath to support and defend “OUR” Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
I come from a military family. My Grandfather fought in WWI, My father fought in WWII, My nephew just got back from
Iraq, and I in the N.Y. Guard Search And Rescue teams.
There currently are approx. 1,148,800 Firefighters both paid and volunteer in this country and countless retired as well. Imagine if you will, only a fraction of these willing and able to take up the cause and make a stand with you if ever needed to be.
An oath given is never relinquished; it has no expiration date. I served my country from the Gulf War, through Kosovo and ending in two deployments to Iraq.
After finding oath Keepers I can reassure them that there will be those who will take a stand in their defense and the cause of liberty. I am proud to be able to stand with all of the other men and women of oath keepers who are all patriots
1962 was my first Oath when I became a Special Deputy Sheriff. My second and most solemn Oath was the one I took in 1967, the Oath taken at Induction into the US Army.
