I Am Proud To Make It Known Who I Am And What I Stand For

Army National GuardMy OATH is my BOND. For 17 years I have recited and lived by it. I am a Sergeant in the NY Army National Guard. I served active duty time in the 7th ID(L) and 25th ID(L). My other career is as a NY State Court Officer. From the day that I enlisted up to the present…I never thought that I would see so many people openly take a pledge and a stand for what is right as I have seen on here. I thought for sure that after reporting to my post at Ground Zero on Sept. 14, 2001 that we soldiers would be ordered to conduct some kind of BS operation against our fellow Americans that would be in direct conflict with the Constitution. Thank God it never happened.

I am proud to make it known who I am and what I stand for. Many who take their oath do it without realizing the full ramifications of what it entails. If standing up for the Constitution has any negative effects on my careers…then I know, with full satisfaction, that I was in the right for taking my stand. And I WILL stand tall and proud amongst my Brothers and Sisters who have also decided to make the stand with me.

My family’s roots go back to stepping off of the Mayflower at Plymouth, Mass. We are firmly embedded in our patriotism and loyalty to our country. Many of our
ancestors fought and died to preserve this great nation and I continue this tradition for this generation of my family. I serve in the hopes that my 2 sons
won”t have to. But I know if the flag goes up, I will have raised them right and they will answer their Nation’s call.

I am not a member yet, but as soon as I get off this page I am signing up I, like so many of my fellow americans realized on that fateful day, when our country was under attack , I realized how I loved this country so. My daughter is currently serving in the U.S.A.F.. She signed up when she was 18 and is currently in her 14th year. She will serve her 20 years. She may stay there many more years. She proudly serves and I will let her know of this website; as she is of like mind. I am a member of D.A.R.. I am terrified of what is coming and will do anything I can to fight for my country. M father was a sherrif and taught me how fo use weapons. I will not hesitate to protect my family sincerely, Barbara Johnson
