1986: I took an oath and 23 Years Later I Reaffirm My Oath

002_2Ever since I was a young boy I’ve had the deepest gratitude that I was born in a free country. Freedom, isn’t that what it’s fundamentally about? The constitution of the United States was penned to protect and defend our God-given freedoms. Freedom of religion and expression, freedom to defend ourselves and to bear arms. Freedom from unjust search and seizure and a host of freedoms again – protected and guaranteed by our constitution.

April 17, 1986 I took an oath to support and defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. It is now 23 years later and I reaffirm the oath I took as a soldier in the US Army.

As a civilian I am every bit as fervent, if not more so about following the rule of law as per our constitution. I remain friend to all those who will abide with me, and an enemy to anyone who would seek to subvert it. God bless all who uphold our rule of law under the constitution. Liberty and justice for all.

Welcome, soldier! We are honored to have you reaffirm your oath and join our ranks. Please take an active role in your state level Oath Keepers organization and help us reach, teach, and inspire the current serving troops. We were once young soldiers, like them, and looking back, it sure would have been great to have the guidance and brotherhood of some older veterans. We can give them that guidance.
