Marine Testimonial & History

I find that, if there is anything in this world to in which to trust
and believe, other than God Almighty, it has to be the unbound determination and
foresight of our founding fathers. They did not tread lightly in this new world, and
neither should you or I. They questioned everything, and accepted nothing less than
their freedom to “establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the
common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to”
themselves and their posterity.
The Preamble of the U.S Constitution, if nothing else, is the foundation of American
beliefs, traditions, and the essence of our freedoms as we know them—at least in the
eyes of this American.
Growing up in south Louisiana, my parents never questioned our government, at least
not in my presence. I, in turn, never questioned them. That is, until I left the
nest as a young United States Marine. It wasn’t until then that I got to truly see
and understand the meanings of Tranquility, Common Defense, General Welfare, and the
Blessings of Liberty and Prosperity. All of these intangible words were now the very
items that I took an Oath to Protect from all enemies, foreign or domestic.
Today, my children grow up in a world with fewer morals, more control, and less
voice. It is my civic and parental duty to show them the path of morality and
opportunity.
Our government, in order to be all things to all people, has exceeded its awareness
of its own never-ending wisdom. They no longer listen to “We The People” and it is
time that “WE” stand to protect the very core of our beginnings.
I often think of a quotation by Thomas Jefferson that simply reads, “A government
big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have.”
As a nation, we have wanted far too much, for far too long. We have allowed
government to provide more to the people, while it continues to fail in delivering.
This, in my opinion, has allowed the current socialistic and economic situations to
cultivate and become overbearing in our everyday lives.
We have all gathered our opinions on the current economic crisis, but many of “We
The People” have handed over our responsibilities of earning a living with our own
blood, sweat, and tears. Many of “We The People” are in favor of letting big
government provide us with direction, food, health care, and housing. A system like
that cannot survive for long.
Our government has forgotten that it was meant to be administrated by citizens who
serve for a limited time—not by career politicians who feather their own nests (with
way too much Prozac and whiskey) at our expense in Washington.
I will survive; my family will survive. As Oath Keepers, my brethren will survive to
become the protectors of the very essence our freedoms as we know them, at least in
the eyes of this American.
Please donate and support Oath Keepers mission, every little bit helps!

Outstanding words of wisdom Marine. You would make a outstanding Statesmen if you ever decided to run for office. I found your words honorable and so very truthful. I only wish more of our elected leaders had the same convictions. Semper Fi

Many a Marine I have known in my life.(Army). They have passed. But I must say
( save the spec ops of ever service), I must say the Marine Corp instills the best of Americana
in their personnel.
Save the fact I found out in MiLITARY Academy that my body could not stand wool.
It would be me stating Semper Fi. As when I left the fields we didn’t have “whooya”.
Geronimo or Jody was what we had.
That is one heart felt letter. I can only thank you for posting it.
I like Semper Fi better its a motto rather than ” whooya”. What’s with “whooya” asking whoose crossing
the wire. THIS MY RIFLE- SPIRIT OF THE BAYONET- BLOOD ON MY RISERS-YOU
GOT SOME PEACHES?
AlL we got to say was yes Sergeant and YES SIR OR MAME.
Every Army with in the Army has its own motto.
Where as Marines are singular. Makes sense to me.
Never liked the who the ^%$&*%&( are those guys when we had to land at some base.
From the Marines we always got greetings, cigarettes , invitation for a beer. Then you’d ask if any of us where dinged up and need a medic.
As opposed to get them outsight as quick as possible. And put a watch on them.
We all past and present appreciate you being you.
THANXS……………………
