Mark Marchesi – “I will support and defend the Constitution”
”I, Mark Marchesi, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of Police Officer on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”
I have taken the Oath on several occasions; from entering the U.S. Army Military Police, to starting my Law Enforcement career. I recall that each time the hair on the back of my neck would stand, and a lump formed in my throat as I spoke. Why? Because taking an Oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States is the biggest responsibility any one person can accept. If you take this Oath lightly, then our Republic is doomed, and you shall hang your head in shame. However; if you take this Oath seriously, as anyone taking it should; you have the right to stand tall and proud, for you are an Oath Keeper, and someone our Founding Fathers can count on to continue their legacy and ideas, that the American People shall live Free and without fear of a tyrannous Government.
As a Law Enforcement Officer, I shall continue to support and defend, as well as educate my fellow officers and the general public as to the Constitution’s importance to a free society. That even the smallest violation of the Constitution is still a violation and should not be tolerated.

What you take an OATH to protect and defend you must HONOR you MUST! you take the OATH before GOD and it MUST be honored. I have taken this oath at least a half dozen times and each time my spirit was moved. I freely took the OATH and will stand and deliver when needed.
So help me GOD,

Thank you for honoring your oath to refuse unlawful and immoral orders, should they occur. We will sleep better at night with true Americans like you on the front lines of public service, not political service.
