National Guardsman Stands Behind His Oath

My name is Christopher Davis I’m a former Arizona Army National Guardsman. I never served in combat and felt badly about that for a long time. But now I look at the Big Picture of global politics and feel more strongly then ever that I am lucky. What the duties of a soldier in combat are have never been blurrier. I feel our men are being exploited and no one is doing anything about it.
I grew up a few hours from Kent State University in Ohio, and we all know what happened there. I feel our leaders know no limits and the potential for that happening again has never been higher. Though my NCO’s were clear on the line between moral and immoral orders and the soldiers individual responsibility, no formal training existed for guardsman, who will be the first called to RESTORE ORDER, and that scares the hell out of me now.
The Constitution belongs to the people (no matter how they alter it) and the Oath is the only protection it has. I thank the Oath Keepers for providing the backbone necessary for Our Leaders to see there are limits, and using military force to keep their power is never an option.
THANK YOU Stewart for allowing me the opportunity to stand behind My Oath in a manner that is morally acceptable to me, and once again protect my family and my country from those that would do it great harm.
Sincere and faithful service,
Christoper Davis

Thank you Christopher I have a tremendous amount of respect for you and all oath keepers. We should all make it a mission to talk with every military personnel and peace officer that we see and educate them about oath keepers And what it means.

It disturbed me for a long time that the Oath Keepers were even necessary, but now I have come to terms with the fact that the movement is essential. Thank you all for your courage and clarity.

Hi Christopher…thank you for your comments…I also grew up in Ohio…in Akron…and I remember Kent State…scary time! It is good to know that someone w/your morals and ethics is a part of this group…I’m not certain if I should have joined…I am not military, like you, or law enforcement…I entered the site to see what kind of membership there is in my state of Arizona…just looking, as a concerned citizen. I know that we are lucky to have Sheriff Joe…but he is 77 and that gives me concern about who might even begin to fill his shoes…

Hi Debi,
I say keep reading and building knowledge. I feel Joe Arpaio is one of the reasons I became active. The sheriff is very, very close to stomping on the constitution, and we need to follow his actions closely. Joe needs to know we will not just go along or let the elite do whatever they want, regardless of the affect on our community.
